About

In 2000, Chris Bugbee got his first official teaching job at a 6-8 charter school. As Lead Teacher in charge of discipline, he learned how to resolve conflict, deal with difficult parents, and support teachers and students. As the school grew to become a K-8 school, Chris Bugbee realized that he wanted to pursue a career in school administration.

Chris Bugbee went back to Central Connecticut State University and obtained his Master’s and subsequently his Sixth Year Degree, which enabled him to earn an Administrative Certification.

The stringent regulations in the Connecticut public school system led Chris Bugbee to research homeschooling in 2016. In 2018, Chris Bugbee decided to leave public education and establish the CT Homeschool Center. The center offers six to eight-week courses in all subject areas designed to enhance the experience of homeschooled students. Homeschooling has grown consistently over the last decade, and homeschoolers have achieved increasing success in college. These students were challenged in their studies without being distracted by all the extra requirements of public education.
